Black & White to Emphasize Powerful Design Lines
Sometimes black and white can be used to really pop your images and showcase the design of your product. It provides a classic look in many circumstances other than just portraits.
Kitchens Are A Design Masterpiece
The Kitchen is an integral hub of a home and often serves many functions. For a designer it offers the opportunity to combine a myriad of textures, colors, functionality, warmth, and intricate detail to showcase the personality of their client.

For a photographer, it is a delight to try to capture all of the details - lighting, tile, backsplash, counters, flooring, cabinets, knobs, lines, angles, including all of the decorative touches. I have learned several new techniques since my previous work and am anxious for my next kitchen adventure.

Paying Attention to Detail
We do our best to pay attention to the little details when photograhing design work because they are the pieces that showcase the uniqueness of our clients. This little lightpost was set inside a tiny hidden Narnia room built by McPartland Construction with twinkling lights in the ceiling as the stars. This room was accessed through a bureau which you can see a little farther down under the theater room section.
The table place settings were extremely unique decorated with starfish and glitz as fashioned by Maribeth Purtle for a Christmas house walk in a home built by McPartland Construction.
And located on the stairs just outside the theater room is a little ticket counter complete with seasonally dressed mannequin which showcases the playfully unique design and construction work of Shawn McPartland.

There is never too little time to stop and take a nature shot along the way if your client has a beautiful garden or lovely front porch. These often make beautiful thank you gifts in appreciate to your client for allowing them to let you photograph your work.

A diverse background has exposed me to many different types of photography including portraiture, architectural, nature and beyond. What I've found is that as long as there is a camera in my hand I'm happy. Each venue inspires me and presents opportunities to capture what my senses feel when I look through my lens.
